Trying something new here - welcome to "my top favourite" series. In no particular order, here is a list of all my favourite à la carte (not all you can eat) sushi restaurants in Toronto.
1. Ja Bistro

This place is the perfect place to go for a sushi date. It is a more sophisticated (and high end) sushi restaurant. The atmosphere is classy and the food is artfully and skillfully served. The service was great too!

2. Miku Toronto

This sushi bar is well known for it's flame-seared sushi and desserts. Once again, this is a great spot for a date night, as it is one of the hottest fine-dining sushi bars in Toronto right now!

3. Wow Sushi

This sushi restaurant is a bit small, but definitely gives off the "feels at home" vibe. It is located near Yonge & Bloor, so it is not difficult to find at all. What stood out for me the most? The amazing food aesthetics. Seriously. I almost couldn't bring myself to destroy this work of art. Not only that, but the food tastes great!

4. Japango

Located close to Yonge & Dundas square, this place is another small quarters place. But don't let the scare you! The sushi is prepared and served in a beautiful manner, making it all the more appetizing.

5. Tokyo Sushi

Compare to the rest, I felt like this was a more casual spot. Not to say it isn't great for a date spot, but it is a more relaxed area and the cheaper price is bonus (cheaper than the above listed). However, don't let the "cheaper" price fool you, this place serves delicious sushi and chirashi! A great place to catch a quick bite and satisfy your cravings.

6. Sushi Moto

I felt like this place deserved a special shout out. It's further away from the downtown core, but if your like me, and whenever you think of sushi you think of a sushi boat, this place is for you. They will literally bring out a small boat full of sushi. A great place to get drinks and eat sushi!
