Review: Mildred's Temple Kitchen

Location: 85 Hanna Ave, Toronto, Ontario M6K 3S3

Quick Background:

Located in the heart of Liberty Village, Mildred's has quite a philosophy. Their goal is simple: "We’re here because we love food, people and the simple pleasures of life: our temple is the place where we practice our devotion." Typically known for brunch, the restaurant also has a dinner menu and even took part in Winterlicious.

Short review:

The atmosphere is absolutely quaint. It is the ideal place for a "girl's day brunch". The food? Phenomenal. The pancakes are hands-down a must try, as recommended by yours truly and tons of other people on Yelp. I'm a huge fan of smoked salmon for breakfast and so "Veda's Choice" was a no-brainer. The photos also speak for themselves.

Take a gander:

If my photos haven't convinced you enough, here is a quick video showing the awesome-y gooey-ness of the poached egg in the Veda's Choice sandwich.

Verdict: A bit on the pricier side for breakfast, but definitely worth it. Hands down one of the best breakfast places I've eaten at. Try it if you're feeling boujee.
